do you know of any Ukiyo-e showing a comet? Or anything with telescopes or astronomers? I have a lacquer bos that I am trying to date and attribute and I thought I might get a clue here. do you know if Ukiyo-e scenes were ever translated into boxes or other media?
I know this is a bit far afield, but any help you can give would be much appreciated.
