I didn't know Bamboo publishing was part of Hotei. i contacted them and they said it was unlikely that it would be reprinted in the near future (but not entirely out of the question altogether, they would have to redo it if they republished it and it would cost much more). I will keep my eye out for the french version. The book on Hasui will definitely be published though. Just wanted to say that i enjoy Shotei.com and shinhanga.net very much and have learned a lot from both sites. Trying to master those Doi seals.

I am developing a nice collecion of Japanese print books, they seem to be better investments than the prints sometimes. I recently bought a paperback book from the Honolulu Acadamy of arts website on the 18th century bijin prints of the James Mitchener collection. Quite good with over 200 color photos and a description of each for only 17.50 plus shipping (on sale on their website.) Good books on 18th century Bijin are not so common i don't think.
