I think we are transients in the world, the book is not only a piece of art, I think it's a piece of history, and should remain the way it was, let the newbies buy toshikatas like I did when I first started ($100 or so), many good prints to buy cheaply, anyway I think most people can afford a $1000 print quite easily they don't need to buy prints from books, I think this is like all the Buddha statues in SE asia with all their heads off, I refuse to buy any sculptured heads from SE asia, I only will buy bronzes, and who knows maybe books such as these might become much more popular someday, people just have to set a discipline for themselves, just my very humble suggestion
