Without being able to actually see your print, it sounds like your print is #4 of Yoshitoshi’s “100 Views of the Moon” series. (For further “confirmation,” in this print the your samurai is standing on the center of 3 stepping-stones, and there are 3 tall, slender trees directly behind him….) If so, your print is titled “The Gion Machi,” and described further as “Oishi Chikara, the youngest of the 47 Ronin, delivering a secret letter to his father in front of a teahouse in the Gion District.” : many thanks,
