: Hello everyone,

: I purchased a Japanese print at an auction and I was trying to find out some more information about it.

: There was an old certificate of authenticity on the back--looks like it was done in the 1950s--signed by C.H.Mitchell.

: It says that the print comes from a series Yoshitoshi did called: Tokyo Kaika Kyoga Meisho.

: I've put some high resolution scans of the print and the certificate here:

: I'm just wondering whether anyone knows whether this print or series is listed in Roger Keyes' dissertation, Courage and Silence: A Study of the Life and Color Woodblock Prints of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi? Unfortunately this book isn't available in any Australian library so I can't look it up myself.

: Any other insights that people can provide would be gratefully received.
