There is a Yakushae (Kabuki artist) print by Toyohara Kunichika with a geisha looking at the wall clock. The image of the clock has Roman numerals. However, the distribution of the numerals on the clock is incorrect: number five (V) is at the bottom of the clock, numbers 6-12 are jammed into the left side, while numbers 1-5 are spread out.
Does anybody know the title of the print, the story, and most importantly, why the image of the clock is not correct?
Dmitry
