:Hi,David, thank you so much for your help and the info you sent.Sorry for taking so long to reply- I've had a lot of work recently. I've got complete books of both Yoshitora and Hiroshige -maybe you could help me to date them-Ihaven't been able to find the book you told me about.Do you have any idea of their value? I don't know how to find out about any of this. Thank-you once again and best regards, Valerie.

: The warrior prints are from a set entitled "100 Selected Master of the Warrior Arts" by Utagawa Yoshitora. Is this a book? It looks fun.

: The kachoe is signed Hiroshige I believe, but is clearly not Hiroshige I. I don't know this area so well, but I'd guess Hiroshige II. Maybe someone else can confirm or correct.

: David

: : From the extra scans you sent, I can tell you that this is an Eirakuya Toshiro edition of the Manga, printed in Nagoya in the Edo Period, but not an early printing. If you can find a copy, look for Matthi Forrer's "Eirakuya Toshiro, Publisher at Nagoya". You might be able to date the edition more accurately with this book. I'd guess roughly 1850s, but that is a guess.

: : : can anybody give me an approximate date of edition for my set of hokusai manga prints?
: : : I also have some other prints but don't know who the authors might be; can anyone throw some light on the matter?
