The most common Japanese pronunciation of the two Chinese characters, forming the name of this artist, is probably the one given by Dr. Illing. I have also seen him referred to as Yoshichika in some reference books. However, he is generally known as Yoshiiku (1833-1904), and he was in fact one of Kuniyoshi´s most prolific and popular pupils.
