Picked up a couple of prints designed by Jinbo Tomoyo on a recent auction, but in trying to find more information about them am running into a blank wall.

The first is dated Showa 36, and is titled ame (Rain) in embossing in the bottom margin.

The second is dated Showa 37, and titled yoi no tomoshibi ('Evening Lamplight').

:

Each one carries carver and printer identification, but nothing showing the publisher. They are printed on less-than-great paper, but other than that, are quite nicely made, with smooth 'Kyoto-style' opaque pigments.

:

Anybody know anything about them? They are obviously a pair, but is this a series? Perhaps these were 'sponsored' prints, and the inscriptions on the banner and lantern are a kind of advertising?
