The artist is Ishikawa Toyomasa, who produced prints during the 1770's. He was a pupil of Toyonobu, much influenced by Harunobu. Your image is the eighth in the series Furyu junigetsu, 'A modern/fashionable twelve months' and the five boys in the foreground are playing Imomushi 'caterpillar' for the festival Tsukimi 'Moon-watching' held on the fifteenth day of the eighth month. Almost all copies of the set that I have encountered (including those in the Art Institute of Chicago [which has an almost complete set]) are later versions from recut blocks.
