Dear all,

Another book I found has a lot of text, but only two illustrations. But they are quite intriguing though! The title of the book is something like "Burin Meiyo Roku - Shi" or "Tales of great militairy honour - part four".

The illustrations show:
- A couragious woman slashes the head of a samurai's neck with a long pole sword. A second samurai watches in pure amazement. They are on some sort of roof with flames around them. Some militairy flags are visible down below at right. (click here)
- Toyotomi Hideyoshi is sitting on a veranda while listening to a visiting samurai. Three others are babbling in the forground, another is resting in the back while his horse is munching on some grass. (click here)

I have no idea who the artist is. Anyone?

Thanks,

Theo
