I am looking for facts on the life of Tachibana Minko. I have read the entry for him in Roberts' Dictionary of Japanese artists, where it is said that Minko came to Edo in 1762 to study with Suzuki Harunobu. I know that he then produced some picture calendars alongside Harunobu's for the 1765 exchange. He also made some surimono in the large, folding format in the early 1770s. Was he in Edo then too? Where was the 1770 Saiga Shokunin Burai (Picturebook of Craftsmen) published? It looks like a Kamigata production. Does this mean he went back, maybe after Harunobu died? Any information or sources anyone could add would help.
