Willy Seiler, renowned German Artist, was born in Dresden. His initial schooling in art, received in Dresdan and Munich, was followed by a two-year period of study in Paris. It go on to say he left Germany in 1928 and has not seen his homeland since. Seiler's second sojourn in Japan turned out to be a permanent one he has been there over twenty years. After the end of world war II the highly versatile artist instructed American Army personnel in oil Painting, life drawing and sketching at the Tokyo Army College, with outstanding success.
