Yes, Sotheby's and Christies are favorite sites of mine, but i missed that particular auction. Christies sends me emails alot because i put key words like Japanese print and other things i'm interested in my search profile. Many times however they are not matching up correctly though, and i get infomation about stuff completely unrelated. They just search out my key words in all of their auctions and i get item matches - so i don't normally miss anything. Whereas Sothebys, they send me far fewers emails and I usually only get general info about a particular auction, nothing about individual items. I changed my auction profile a little to include books now. I think you are right about saving up and waiting to buy during key auctions. It'll take me 10 years to save up for those ehons i like anyway.
