The book "Japanese Woodblock Printing" by Rebecca Salter (ISBN 0-8248-2553-5) has a short chapter on various pigments being used for woodblock prints.
If you like it more scholarly, read the articles "Pigments used on Japanese Paintings" by K. Yamasaki and Y. Emoto and "A Pigment census of Ukiyoe Paintings in the Freer Gallery of Art" by Elisabeth West Fitzhugh, both articles published in "ARS ORIENTALIS" Volume XI, 1979, published by the Freer Gallery, Libray of Congress Catalog Card No. 54-14692.
