I had graduated from the U of O art school in 1961 but kept in contact with the University. I was able to take classes on Saturday with Sekino. At the time I was in the advertising art department of the Eugene Register Guard, the local daily newspaper for the city. Just as an FYI, I am STILL a newspaper artist, working for the San Jose Mercury News in San Jose California.
