My husband purchased this woodblock print in 1972 on the Persian Gulf island of Bahrain. It is identified as: "DANCE: Snowy Heron Girl, originated by Sadanobu Hasegawa". "This is from a pantomime dance created in the early part of the Yedo period and the theme is based on an old Japanese legend that the spirit of a snowy heron entered the body of a young girl." I would like information about Hasegawa - and when was the Yedo period? Thanks for any help.
