Hello, I'm Midori Tachibana, a college student in Japan.

I am to write a paper about a subject that I can choose freely in the English writing class. Then, I have made my mind to write about 'Ukiyo-e'. Nevertheless, it's not merely about the detail about Japanese artists. What I would like to write is about the situation surrounding the Ukiyo-e after Edo period. A lot of Ukiyo-e has been brought from Japan to the many foreign countries, even now. In additon, I plan to refer the influence that Ukiyo-e give to the foreign artists after they arrived all over the world.

In order to complete my paper about this, I need much information about it. Of course, I should write the paper in English, so it is necessary for me to collect the books about Ukiyo-e, written in English, if possible, by foreign writers. Now, I am taking pains to find such books, but I cannot. Would you tell me some books that I told above? If you would do, it will be the great help to me.

If possible, please reply my request soon, because I have not so much time to spend finding.

Please send me your answer to tatibna@ba.mbn.or.jp.
