Well, 'tsuta' (蔦) means 'ivy', and of course the seal shows an ivy leaf. Whether the seal is from the shop name or vice versa I don't know, though.

The Wikipedia article on Tsutaya Juzaburo:

seems to indicate that the shop name came first?
