Hi, I think this is Yoshitoshi; the signature looks like his (although the image is a little low resolution to be sure), and he did a series of this name.

The series is called 'A Record of the Advancement of Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Toyotomi shōshinroku)', Keyes number 267, which he claims is ca. 1869. He lists three triptychs in the series, but I'm not sure this is any of them, from his description.

A higher resolution image would be greatly appreciated; I could tell you more about it, and would appreciate a good image for the Yoshitoshi catalog raisonne site. Images of each individual panel will do, if you can't get a good one of the entire triptych.

Noel
