It is interesting that the Eishi print is so similar to the Utamaro (except for the two additional courtesans in the Eishi picture). Since the Utamaro is dated to 1791-1793, can one expect that the Eishi is made later than that?
Any idea who the two other courtesans might be(middle and to the right)?
Btw, is it possible that you may have a translation for the following Utamaro posted earlier at http://www.ukiyo-e.se/wwwboard/messages/13887.html ?
