Dear Guy,

I been reading from a borrowed book by Richard Lane "images from the floting world"

In this book the author writes about the prints
of courtesans made by both Utamaro,Eishi,Eisho
and Eiri.

He write that Eishi´s work "shows a trend towards increasing elongation of the human figure".

He writes about Eiri that "his girls are sometime
almost excessively fragile and doll-like".

On Eiri he writes that "His figures are characterized by a solid, worldly charm and are rather more humanized"

About Utamaro his writes that "His fame will always rest principally on this new ideal of woman-hood that he helped create elongated figures, reserved yet subtly erotic in demeanor and with majestic carriage"

Can this information be of any help to matter

Kind Regards

Mikael
