You are both seriously out of touch with the current market, or else you simply don't know what you're talking about. Early Kunisada has always been more than "several hundred dollars", and despite the market for Japanese prints in general being rather deflated due to the imploding Japanese economy, certain star designs are still worth many thousands of pounds. For example, the 'Oatari Kyogen' series of 1815.
