Hi Joy,
This is a kabuki actor prent, designed by Utagawa Toyokuni I, depicting the star actor Matsumoto Koshiro V in the role of Toshiken. Play “Genji Heike Nunobiki taki”, performed at the Nakamura theater in Edo, 9th month 1816.
The name of the actor and his stage name (role) are printed at the right hand upper part of your print. At the left you find the artist's signature, the publisher's seal of Enomotoya Kichibei and a circular 'kiwame' censor's seal.
