Hello
Please, I have two Harunobu prints which I am trying to date (photo attached). My art knowledge is very limited, but in testing them with a black light I was able to determine that they predate 1940 as the paper does not fluoresce. They have those tiny circles surrounding dots, but I can't help but wonder if those might be characteristics of the paper itself (those these dots are not on their reverse). The prints measure 7 1/2" x 10", they have no markings of any kind on their reverse, and the Vever 'seal' is a fascimilie. I would guess that they may have originally been pages in a book (note the black edging along the top of both). Any suggestions/advice will be very much appreciated.
