The publisher Maruya Tetsujirō was active or existed as a firm from c. 1847 till 1897 (Marks: publisher #300), so it is probable that the blocks from 1865 were kept in the publisher's stockroom to be digged up in later Meiji times for a cheap commercial re-edition in crepe, at the height of the 'chirimen' vogue. Many older series by Hiroshige, Hiroshige II and many other late Edo artists were re-published for that manner.
