Extensive online catalog of Ukiyo-e artist signatures.
I just wrapped up posting a catalog of artist signatures online similar to the one on this website: http://edoukiyoe.com/EDOGO.html
In fact it was this website and the Artelino site (http://www.artelino.com/forum/signatures.asp) that inspired me.
This has been an ongoing project for some time. The idea is to make available online the most extensive and accessible catalog of 17th 18th and 19th century artist signatures. These are signatures that I kept and used for reference when researching prints. They are meant for comparison when trying to identify unknown signatures.
I know this is a discerning group of professionals, collectors and enthusiasts. Any feedback would be appreciated.
