You could use "hyobanki" type kabuki prints, in which many actors' names are already presented in tabular form.

That would be more efficient than finding and scanning all of the names individually. For example, the above yields 24 all-different actor names from one print.

You could 'cut out' and arrange the names from hyobanki into your own systematic, actor-family cladistic tables.
