The signatures on Toyokuni I prints from this era seem indistinguishable from later prints attributed to Toyokuni II (Toyoshige), so I've always assumed them to be by Toyoshige, but still carrying the Master's name. Am I mistaken in that assumption?

Also, I've had good success with floating seriously fauxed prints in 25% hydrogen peroxide solution, though I've had a couple of dramatic failures as well. So with a rare/valuable print I think a conservator makes sense.
