Hi,
I am researching the series "Kyodō risshiki" (Instructive Models of Lofty Ambition) published by Matsui Heikichi between 1885 and 1890 and then re-issued by him without the decorative borders in 1902. I have been looking for the 1972 Riccar Art Museum catalog that lists all the prints in the series. I do not need the entire catalog, just the list of prints. If someone has this catalog and can send or post the list of prints, I'd greatly appreciate it. It can be sent directly to me at ihl@myjapanesehanga.com

For those interested in this series, I have identified 53 prints in the series, one more than Henry Smith in "Kiyochika: Artist of Meiji Japan" and three more than the "50 prints in a complete set" 五十番揃 shown on the table of contents print for the series (reference Tokyo Metropolitan Library collection.) I have also identified several prints in which the blocks were likely lost or damaged and then replaced with a new design. I'll be publishing this information on my site www.myjapanesehanga.com, along with images of all 53 designs, once I get a hold of the Riccar list and can incorporate it in my article. Any help will be gratefully acknowledged (or not, if you so desire.)

Thanks!
Irwin
