If you are seriously interested in Japanese prints, any age, you will find there is a plethora of prints missing in the so called "complete" catalogues.
Just in the "Complete woodblock prints by Hasui" published by Hotei, I have had at least 20+ designs, some very important early designs, which are not listed in the book. My estimate is there are at least 50-100 prints not listed in the book.
I took the above book as an example as the prints are published within the last 100 years. It shows how difficult it is to do a catalog of a even fairly recent artist.
