Hi, Many thanks to 'sato' & everyone who has replied to my naive questions with excellent information - I inherited these fascinating prints and was struggling with my research before finding this forum. Could I ask (sato) how you worked out the publishing date of 1842? After receiving your info I found a chap on 'flickr' with the same print only dating his at 1892. It is nice to find this comical story behind the print, which isn't immediately apparent in the print itself! Best wishes, Chris
