In any case, don't remove your prints from the passe-partout if pasted! I suspect they are originals. Contact a paper restorer acquainted with Japanese prints, a museum or a reliable ukiyo-e dealer in your area. Bear in mind that original actor prints by Shun'ei and most other Kastukawa school artists in the hosoban format, dating from the 1780s-90s, are precious things of art-historical interest with a considerable market value (depending of the state).
