I found an orihon style book in a decorator shop. It is in need of repair and I would like to make sure I have all of the pages before I start. I am hoping someone knows of this publishing house and or this type of book. I am also hoping to identify what sort of sleeve or box it might have had.
Here is what I know: * printed some time between 1919 and 1926, * Publisher was Taisho Tsushinsha, was also offering individual prints under the listing of: Masterpieces of Old Japanese Colour Prints, published monthly, * the book currently has 52 image and 52 description pages, * none of the prints are originals. Based on discussions with experts, the book may have been a collection of what was left of the prints after the monthly sales or put together as a gift for dignitaries. I am hoping to get as much information as possible about this book, not just to restore it but to also include with it as a gift for my father. Thank you for your help......
