Most japanese dealers in Ukiyo-e have some namazu-e (catfish earthquake prints).
For "kamishibai" these were often handpainted, or just regular oban sets of prints.
Several years ago I had a large group of Kamishibai boxes, prints and paintings. Nearly all the prints were regular sets of oban/aiban on thick backing. The sets were, for example, Chushingura, the Life of Nichiren (Kuniyoshi). I sold everything to a local collector.
