I had a good look through Marks, "Publishers of Japanese Woodblock Prints", and this seal is not in there (it should be in the region of 25-311 if it were there) - although I agree it's likely Morita.
I then turned to the signature - even more indecipherable! What's odd it that it doesn't seem to have the usual 'ga' or 'hitsu' or
'utsusu' etc at the end (although that is not always present, I concede).
I noticed that in the third character, there seemed to be an 'earth' radical (土) at the bottom center, with perhaps either a 'mouth' or 'day' radical to its right. I recently acquired a copy of the so-called 'New Nelson' dictionary, which has this really nice feature of a ginormous table which, for each radical, lists _every_ character that includes that radical _anywhere_ in it. Very useful for situations like this!
So I looked through the entire table for 'earth' - and also for the very similar 'samurai', for good measure - but alas I didn't see that character!
So at this point I am as puzzled as you are, sadly...
