It's an actor's triptych with the actors Bandô Minisuke (left), Onoe Kikugorô (center) and Iwai Shijaku (right) in different kabuki roles placed in an underwater setting. The Ritsumeikan refers to it as 'Mitate Umi no soko' (Mitate of the story from the botom of the Ocean), ca 1830.
