I came accross this 1810s actor print by Kunisada depicting Iwai Hanshir˘ and Segawa Kikunoj˘. I'm puzzled by the signature which reads 'Kunisada ga' but immediately followed by a mark that reminds me somewhat of the publisher's mark of Noda Shichibei (Marks: seal 01-097, publisher 395).

Problem is that the print bears already a kiwame seal and (probably) the mark of publisher Hiranoya Ch˘emon. So, the signature seems to have been extended with this mark or character but I have no clue about the meaning of it.

Anyone knows more?

Guy.
