Thanks so much for that ID and your help on this - I appreciate it very much! On the far right of the print at the VERY bottom, check out the last two characters as well. Looks like the Ichikawa Hakuen characters, based on the kanji name index mentioned in other threads on this site.

Would that position of the name (very bottom right) be significant?

Based on www.kabuki21.com Ichikawa Hakuen had previous names of Matsumoto Umimaru, Matsumoto Kozo (child actor names), then Ichikawa Danjuro V and Ichikawa Ebizo before being know as Ichikawa Hakuen from 1798-1802. Do you think it possible that these could all be references to his previous names?
