The colophon at the base of the left hand panel triptych of the JAC gives no further info about the artist's real name, only the name of the publisher Morimoto Junzaburo is mentioned and the year of publication (no month or day).
The NLA triptych has also a colophon but the image is too small for a proper reading. Probably, it was also issued by Morimoto Junzaburo. I guess that Chikamitsu must have been a very young person in 1891-92, having strong ties with Kunichika's studio and this publisher, producing this niche-type of prints. Did he still sign with 'Kunichika monjin Chikamitsu' in 1896, after a span of four years?
