Barb, This looks to me like a reproduction of a painting by the Chinese artist Hsü Pei Hung (1895-1953). There was (perhaps still is) a hanging scroll with the exact same horse in the collection of the National Gallery in Prague ("Running Horse", ink and white paint on paper, 55.5 X 103.5 cm, 1950). Source: Josef Hejzlar (text) and B. Forman (photographs), Chinese Watercolors, Octopus Book (London), 1978, plate 77. Several paintings by Hsü Pei Hung have been reproduced in the form woodblock prints in China.
