Thanks for the opinion Noel. Upon looking at the blues more closely, I would agree. In fact, if they are aizuri it would just barely sneak into the time frame of that color. I don't think Eizan was active with surimono much later than that, so 1821 would seem to be preferable. With the folds and paper (which of course you can't feel) it certainly isn't Meiji era.
