The print is by Toyoshige (Toyokuni II) who was a student and successor of Toyokuni I.
So that part of the label identification was close, but incorrect. The signature does say "Toyokuni"
"Geisha girl" is kind of an old Western stereotype about all Japanese women, which is now insulting. I would say that part is not really accurate, either.
The women are looking through holes torn in the paper screen windows of an establishment such as a "chaya" or "ryokan" (teahouse and inn).
They might be courtesans, but they are not geisha, and are not necessarily prostitutes. Could be, but can't be determined from this image why they are at the teahouse
