This is obviously a very interesting 'Nagasaki-e' (print published in Nagasaki) from a decade earlier, depicting an early American paddle frigate, probably part of Commodore Perry's squadron in Nagasaki 1852-54, firing salute shots. The depicted vessel might eventually be the USS Mississipi or the USS Powhatan but again, a more detailed image could provide more information.
