This is a 'kappazuri-e' (stencil print), published ca 1810s by the Osaka publisher Honya Kichibei (Honya), depicting the 2nd act of the Chūshingura.

I think your print is signed (at the left) 'Hotta ga' (堀田画) but due to the paper loss, the signature is difficult to read.

The artist is the Kyoto based print designer and illustrator Hotta Yukinaga (Renzan), active late 18th, early 19th century in the Kamigata region (Kyoto-Osaka). Hotta designed an other Chushingura series around the same period, but in the hosoban format. Your series seems to be in oban format.

Guy.
