The title of this triptych reads 文政狂歌合七変化 which I roughly translate as "Seven variations in a kioka contest in the Bunsei Era." It is dated 1895. It is signed 魁州画 [possibly Sakigake Shū? ga] and sealed 魁州. Can anyone confirm the artist's name and provide any information on this artist? The publisher of the print is 坂口忠治郎 [possibly Sakaguchi Chūjirō]. I cannot find this publisher in the Andreas Marks book of publishers. Can anyone confirm the English translation of the publisher's name. Finally, there are two seals to the left of the publisher's mark. The top seal seems to read 組同. The bottom seal is unread but the first character is 正. Has anyone seen these seals before? Can anyone translate the seals for me into English?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
