The title in the red cartouche can be translated as "View of the fall of Pyongyang Casltle". This battle of the Sino-Japanese war took place on Sept.15th, 1894.
Nobukazu did several prints of this battle which attracted huge media coverage. This battlle is well documented in Irving Lavenberg super website: http://www.myjapanesehanga.com/home/artists/watanabe-nobukazu-1872-1944-/scene-of-the-fierce-battle-at-the-occupation-of-pyongyang-fort-in-the-sino-japanese-war
