The signature reads Ichijusai Kunimasa ga (一寿斎国政画), and the censors' seals are Mera and Watanabe, indicating that the print was published between 1851 and 1853. As these seals were always accompanied by an oval date seal in 1852 and 1853, we can narrow the time frame down to the year 1851.

The artist is Kunimasa III, a k a Kunisada II (1823-1880). This print was probably one of the last he designed before changing his artist name to Kunisada, which is supposed to have happened in 1851.
