This is a print from a series 'Oiwai yoshiz˘ gin' (御祝義三吟), signed 'H˘rai Shunsh˘ ga' (蓬莱春升画).
Shunsh˘ is the older name for Utagawa Kunimori II (active 1840s-60s). The name change took place early 1844, after the death of Kunimori I, late 1843.
The series was published second half 1843 by Tsujiya Yasubei and was continued in 1844 with a slightly altered series title 'Oiwai yoshiz˘ ch˘' and the artist signing 'Kunimori'.
The print bears the 'nanushi' seal of censor Hama Yahei (Hama). Thus, the 9th month of 1843 could evantually be the date of publication.
