The signature on your diptych reads Kchr Toyokuni ga (香蝶楼豊国画) and belongs to Utagawa Kunisada (aka Utagawa Toyokuni III). The print title reads "Yayoi no ybe" (弥生のゆふへ) which can be translated to "An evening in the third month".

The censorship seals (Fuku 福 and Muramatsu 村松) tell us that it was printed between 1849-53.

It is almost certainly an original since these kind of prints by Kunisada were never reprinted in any way. Moreover, the colors look exactly as they are supposed to.
